Born in Calgary, and raised in rural Alberta, and now returned to the city Frances originally had dreams to be an investment banker until finding her true passion in art and film. Second eldest in a family of five, Frances was taught to care deeply for her family while still finding her own ways of expressing individuality.
Frances has studied fine art at both the University of British Colombia - Okanagan, and at the University of Calgary where she continues her studies.
Outside of her passion for art an avid runner and triathlete Frances has always found a way to blend discipline with her environment. Her versatility in art mirrors her versatility in life. She has drawn her many sources of technique from a vast library of book and vigorous self study of both masters and contemporary artists. Her genre principally includes a range of abstract expressionism, impressionistic landscapes, and detailed life studies, however she has not yet limited herself to a finalized style of art.
